Good questions.
Why are we conscious, why are we intelligent, or are we intelligent.
Are we simply autonomously programmed robots, that somehow appeared out of the mass and energy structure of this planet and this planet only.
I can not even imagine what a ten billion years of evolution could do to an intelligent being, and much less what a being that is able to create something out of nothing would be like.
But as far as the “image” reference is concerned; I suspect that it simply means that, since we also are able to “create” things, we are in that sense the “images” of the original creator.
