Splish splash, it's bath time, folks. Water on Mars, or so they'll be saying.
With NASA bigwigs there they must be announcing that they've found something they think is conclusive evidence of water (emphasis on "they think"; I won't speak for whether others will find it convincing). They wouldn't send Ed Weiler and Jim Gavin out unless it was both a major and happy announcement.
On the other hand, it's not O'Keefe so they probably are *not* annoucning that they saw something crawling or asking for a lift to the nearest 7-11... :)
Isn't the Lunar and Planetary Conference this week or next week? Probably had to rush the news out so they could discuss it there.
Me, I'll be on a small plane to a small town in Texas tomorrow at 2pm EST tomorrow afternoon. Probably won't impress my prospective employers if their political science candidate gets off the plane and immediately starts asking about Martian rocks. Doh.
Oh well, I'm sure the board here will have dissected their findings by the time I'm back at the end of the week! Keep up the good work, all.

- May be very interesting... Oh, and a sunburned Aloha to the zone!
- hopefully it'll be covered by CNN, MSNBC, don't see it listed on C-Span. (n/t)
