Republicans in California (and elsewhere) have a tendency to pick a candidate who is essentially "Democrat Lite," rather than a real conservative. Not surprisingly, those who support liberal principles will vote for the Real Thing, while conservatives are disillusioned by the R.I.N.O.s ("Republicans In Name Only") Don't expect much different this time around, and suspect Bill Jones will be the candidate, and will have his ass handed to him on a plate in November.
