re: Question on Phobos and Deimos

The book The Grand Tour: A Traveler's Guide to the Solar System, by Ron Miller, William K. Hartmann, mentions what both moons would look like from the surface of Mars. I don’t have the book with me (A great book, by the way) but if my memory serves, I think they said that Phobos would be appearing a 3rd of the size our Moon does in our skies. Its lumpy shape would be viable and it would move fairly quickly across the sky. Deimos would be a bright star and it would take many days to move across the sky.
