Curly quotes

Fox requested that I turn off "curly quotes" in my word processor. Actually, I didn't use a word processor to compose the post which promped his request, but rather, entered the post directly into the HZ post input window, a process which entailed two cut 'n' pastes from the linked article.

In viewing the HZ source from the post, I can see that apostrophes (') and quotes (") have taken on some extra special character baggage, and I assume that is what Fox is seeing. However, when I go to the linked article, highlight and copy the same text, and past it into Note Tab Light - which I do use on occasion to compose posts here - I don't see the extra special characters for apostrophes and quotes.

Help anyone?

Thanks,
S
