$40 to $80 billion a year.
Eliminating corporate "tax loopholes":
Up to $100 billion a year.
We're still a long way from a trillion, aren't we?
Buffett millionaire tax? $3.1 billion a year.
Note that letting that entire 2013 tax bomb hit, along with the things mentioned above, only cuts the current deficit in half.
So what's next?
"Wasteful" spending? Like what?
The entire discretionary budget is about $1.3 trillion, including military.
You're welcome to move the chips around any way you like. Remember, the Democrats can't be seen raising taxes on the middle class, and they have to keep those benefits flowing strong to the ever-increasing number of recipients. You going to keep those payroll tax cuts?
I've spent some time at it. Good luck. It's entirely possible the Great Society has already gone over the cliff.
