Cutting the deficit in half is a damn good start don't you think? Especially since half of the deficit is from the financial crash. Or did you think the deficit doubled overnight by magic? And keep pretending it was a single year event that had no effect over the long run.
Economic growth is the wildcard. This is a very conservative estimate in that respect. remember the unexpected surpluses in the 90s? That after Clinton raised taxes marginally on the wealthy.
Romney wants to add another $5T to the $16T national debt before we even begin to start paying it back. And all to give yet another tax cut, on top of the Bush tax cuts, that is skewed to the very wealthy. Anyone who votes for that is nuts.
