K-T fungus
A World Ruled By Fungi.
An Interesting article concerning the K-T extinction. In a coal bed the researchers have found a forest turned into an area dominated by fungus (that occurs with the iridium layer) with a very fine resolution. This change began a few months after the event and continued for years before new plants began to appear.
