I wish we could take all the money, manpower and other resources that we put towards war and use them for space exploration and settlement. Imagine that if all of Earth countries would do this. We could work together to build new worlds instead of fighting over this one.

With the fall of the USSR, I thought we were almost there- only a few more countries to go before the Earth is united and civil, but then 9/11 happened. It is hard to be a united planet working together when there are those who want to kill us.

Still, I believe the planet as a whole (Considering the population) it the most peaceful it has ever been. We’ll get there. I think the key for a united civil planet is to have the majority of the population educated, and all countries have a “Bill of Rights” for their citizens.
