Democrat calls Republicans liars! Bush to run negative ads about Kerry! Film at 11:00!

Okay, so Kerry called Republicans "crooked liars." And Bush is going to run "negative ads" about Kerry.

This is news?

I wish I had a nickel for every Democrat who has called Bush a crooked liar. Heck, even a nickel for every prominent Democratic politician who has done so. Where was the press when Ted Kennedy was off on his "lied! lied!" rampage a while back?

And did I miss a long tradition somewhere of politicians running positive ads about opponents?
