The only way the sequester happens is if the GOP sticks to their no new revenues bullshit. The GOP negotiated themselves into this stupid position with their idiotic debt ceiling nonsense! Now the Democrats, if Obama wins, have the upper hand in a big way. It actually forces unreasonable uncompromising assholes to be reasonable and compromise.

That said, obviously there is a political element in this layoff notice business. BFD.
