"We were utterly, completely wrong. "

Wow, McFly........you humble me AGAIN. Very few people change their minds, let alone admit it. It's trying to pierce into people's "pre-conceptions" or biases, that is the hardest thing to do. To me, UN inspectors had the most respect for any country across the world. A very brave, but unrewarding job it seems. Risk your life, play hide and seek with the enemy, keep on going knowing that any time you could become fodder for Sadam's human shredding machines. I wouldn't have liked to been in Iraq digging around, yet they DID. And they were dishonored and manipulated by Bush and Cheney with their findings. I find it hard to believe why any US citizen still stands behind Bush, other than they are a hard ass and like Texas-style justice (shoot first, ask questions later).
>"Trust the UN. Support the UN, trust that the world will still spin even if we don't always get our way."
That's a lesson to be learned. We WERE on the right track, but some people never have enough. Like the current administration that is running our country, it's never enough just to have our own, and be the best. They want everyone's else's too, at the point of a gun.
As I once wincingly told a CIA/NSA liason officer about Bush & Co. (he golfs with them)...... They are nothing but a bunch of psychopaths playing their own game of monopoly. They not only want all the properties, all the houses, all the hotels and all the money, but they want their "Get Out of Jail Free" card too.
Thanks for your new found realization.
