The same scientific processes used to measure the impact of human generated CO2 have been used to measure past climactic changes and refine climate models to more accurately predict the impact of increasing CO2 levels. Past natural climate changes do not mean the current change is also natural given a measured 50% incrtease in CO2 levels directly attributable to human activities. Past climate changes have also been linked to natural variations in CO2 level.
Even if the change was natural it would make no sense to ignore the possible consequences than it does to ignore the risk of asteroid impact. The idea that some natural global warming means we don't need to wory about compounding the problem is absolutely ridiculous to me. I'm real tired of Democrats trying to ignore festering geopolitical problems and Republicans ignoring festering environmental ones.
