I feel they (some americans) sometimes think UNICEF is a Bulgarian and UNESCO is a Romanian...

Funny, but also quite poignant.

In the country where I was raised there's much more respect for the UN than there is here in the US. In fact, most Canadians wear their nation's UN participation as a badge of honor, I think it's safe to say. UNICEF is regarded there as an almost sacred entity, with Mr Ustinov it's most eloquent spokesperson.
