No kidding! There's a colorful [eccentric?] & wealthy Texan whose carrying out oil-drilling exploration north of Haifa. Previous drilling attempts by others have been too shallow, he's claimed. He's going
to drill down a lot deeper.
If he strikes a major oil deposit it would make Israel a major oil exporter...
Imagine what that would do to geopolitics in the Middle-East?
Incidently, David, I've visited the Haifa area of Israel, years ago,
on my way to the Sea of Galilee & Nazareth.
