Sorry it took so long to reply. For my sanity I don't read here over the weekend. I did read your post yesterday, but decided I wanted to think about it a bit before replying. You are right, this political whoring (to use Larry J's term) is certainly not new to the HZ. In fact, since 9-11 this place has become a regular red light district to be sure. Nobody can hold a candle to Tom Brosz either in that regard, which he readily admits. So in light of that, my post to you was unduly harsh. Sorry.

Having watched the doctors perform 2 c-sections on my wife when my girls were born, I was thinking about that amazing woman doing it herself with just a bit of alcohol to numb the pain. I've seen how much cutting is required, and am awed by the fact she did it, let alone lived through it. In the midst of my reflections I read your post about how folks like me would try to put her in prison for doing it. That's what set me off. After reading Alcarey's comments, I also need to concede the point, that had the baby not lived an investigation could be started to determine the intent of the mother. I can think of some less painful methods of do-it-yourself abortion, but people can do some pretty scary stuff to themselves.

By the way I've been here since it was called Cydonuts. I remember you from the MSNBC boards. When I discovered that place some time in mid '99 you were already a regular there. I may not post as regular anymore, but I'm not a newbie here either.
