I would love for FTL to be possible, because I like to play with sci-fi themes in short stories, and without FTL stories are forced to be very limited. I have only come up with one way FTL might be plausibly invoked in a story (trust me it doesnt even rise to the level of hypothesis, its just a way of interpreting quantum physics so that FTL doesn't violate causality, at least not on the level of a sci-fi story). Maybe I will repost the idea for input...
