I said nothing about action "that would have done any good". And in any case, no one will ever know.
My personal curiosity is about action that would show that the president is not lazy or incompetent or blindly ideological. That his head is screwed on right. That he gives a shit if OBL wants to kill Americans in America and realizes that he is in charge of the Federal response. That he is a candidate that anyone in their right mind might vote for. That's all I want to know.
