Question: another use for shuttles...
....other that parked in front of a museum....
Could the shuttles stay in space?
Perhaps to be used shuttling to the moon and back to the ISS? I realize there are problems with this idea (fuel, radiation shielding, mission specific configurations...) but I'd enjoy hearing what others think. It could pick up cargo in orbit lifted there by simple rockets. It could service satelites when they need it.
Just arm-waving.
