I listened to Condoleeza Rice's live testimony. From what she said, you would have thought this memo was about "ancient history." The point of the matter is that there were indications and pointers and red flags that nobody saw and should have. The fact is that this happened on Bush's watch and as good ole Harry said, "The buck stops here." It is the President's responsibility and I am sick and tired of hearing excuses.

If our intelligence services and the FBI weren't functioning properly, then the people in charge should have known and hollered until the problems were corrected. We have not had any real leadership in this country for a good number of years. It is all political spin and and the bottom line of the almighty dollar.

Were I running a corporation and the corporation failed at one of it's main missions, I would fire the executive on whose watch that happened. And that is precisely what I'm going to do in November - fire Bush. Whiney excuses and whitewashing don't cut it with me. He failed. His administration failed. No excuses.
