US troops to remain in Iraq for a long, long time?
It's all in the fine print.
When Bush Jr talks about a "peaceful" Iraq, he means one that is not a threat to Israel.
Now you have to remember that Sharon just claimed a good chunk of the West Bank, and that means that Moslems everywhere, including Iraq, are outraged.
This in turn means that at the very best, Iraqis will do very little to stop any attack on Israel, and even more likely, any democratically elected Iraqi government would actually have to have an anti-Israel line.
Any guesses as to exactly how long US troops will remain in Iraq?
