We are both harmless and both unhappy with the way things are going.
The tactics of the worst people on earth would be to slaughter our enemies in the way that we are capable of doing. Instead we are shedding our blood along with theirs in an effort to create an environment for change.
It is an ugly, inefficient business. It might not work but it is better than the alternative
The fundamental difference is that you and others believe our enemies will eventually respond to kindness and tolerance of their ways and you see us as the bad guys. I think they are the bad guys. If we were fighting them in downtown Portland you would agree. You just don't agree with the battlefield we have chosen and you don't agree that the only choice we have in the matter is where and not if
It is not my business to police Ed or anyone else. I have told you that I think he goes overboard sometimes but so do you and so do I. The fact that I share a good deal of Ed's political views probably makes me less critical of him and the reverse is probably true with you. If you have a problem with Ed ignore him or flame him back or round up a posse of like thinkers but don't expect any more than what I have said from me and don't adopt the attitude that the behavior of any other poster gives you a blank check to be insulting.
Flame » in reply to Ah, shucks! Not really.
