Are you saying that my post on space may have been off-topic there because it included a jab at the Bush admin? And that your failing to comment on its questionable position... I just decided that is the direction you are going so I will ignore the other wierd possibility.

A discussion of the appropriateness of my space post is entirely in bounds. I would welcome a discussion on that topic. And it would not be difficult to convince me it was a violation and if folks thought it was, I would apologize and try to do better the next time. We have rules here. We make them up as we go along in a kind of democratic fashion by posting.

My advice is: don't be discouraged from discussing the rules if you think there is something questionable.

Another thing: saying your argument was irrelevant is not the same as saying you shouldn't have posted. Sorry if it sounded that way. I make irrelevant arguements from time to time (just ask Tom) when I misunderstand something or maybe I'm just wrong on the issue. The best way to deal with me when you catch me in the act, is to tell me it's irrelevant and explain why you think so.
