Not really news to me.

Some of these guys have been telling anyone who would listen this kind of stuff for weeks, now. Needless to say, it hasn't made a lot of headlines in the mainstream, although it's been circulating through talk radio and the internet. I haven't given it a lot of attention, since up until now I've thought it's been just a few people talking about this, and you can get a few people to say pretty much anything.

I am surprised by two things: first that this has been organized to this extent, and second, that there are a lot more military men who feel this way than I thought.

That being said, assuming this letter pertains to actions in Vietnam, I'm still not sure what Kerry's actions and attitudes thirty years ago really have to do with what he would do now as president, unless it can be shown that he still feels the same way about a lot of things. Hell, if I was presented with the thirty-years-ago Bush, I probably wouldn't want him to be president either.

If Kerry has any brains, he will quietly brush Vietnam and military service off the table. Not sure what else he's got, though.
