Is it just a "typical" technical glitch, or is Spirit showing signs of wearing out? Poor Spirit, Opportunity seems to have gotten all of the breaks. I wonder if finding water at Gusev requires a deep drilling setup, or maybe they should have landed closer to the crater's edge?

Pasadena (JPL) May 04, 2004 - According to a daily briefing note made available to SpaceDaily.com NASA's Mars Exploration Rover A - Spirit - is having communication problems. The current information available suggests the problems are not overly critical and can probably be fixed. However the root cause of the problem remains unknown.
