"One derogatory thing"

I have yet to hear you ever say one derogatory thing about the man even though he's clearly made some very grave mistakes.

I will overlook this cheerfully, since I don't know how long you've been on this board.

I'm too lazy to look up the posts, but I have objected--on this board--to Bush's policies on:

- Immigration (amnesty, instead of tightening the borders)

- Trade (putting ill-advised tariffs on steel that did our economy no good)

- Failing to fight for pilots carrying guns on aircraft, and failing to prevent the unnecessary Federalization of airline security.

- Failing to fight for an energy bill that includes damn-the-caribou drilling and a comprehensive nuclear power development plan. A lot of friends of mine think he should be pushing for solar power satellites.

- Farm subsidies (reversing whatever small progress had been made to eliminating them. Bought milk lately?)

- Spending (failing to contain massive pork programs, particularly those connected to Homeland Security. If he vetoes the bloated highway bill, it will be a welcome first. That veto pen should have been out and for the past three years.)

I have approved of his foreign policy, at least for the most part, his approach to fighting terrorism, and his enthusiasm for reducing my taxes.

Most conservatives would agree with much of the above.

While Bush would not be the person I would choose from a lineup throughout history to be President, he is miles ahead of Kerry in almost every area, including those listed above. Even Democrats don't like Kerry. They just hate Bush worse.
