Was Saddam claiming to liberate while torturing them?

Was Saddam claiming to bring democracy?

The reality has to be painfully clear. The US doesn't really give a damn about the Iraqi people, hearts or minds, or we would have done a lot differently.

What does the US care about? Well, check what was guarded most heavily when the attacks began. That'll tell you, won't it?

Hint: Not people, not museums. (Keywords - oil + fields)
