I have to agree

What these people have done is newsworthy.

There are undoubtedly numerous interests at work behind the media, but somewhere in there, one hopes, is a beleif that the news media has an ethical responsibility to offer the public the information it needs, irregardless of the demands of politics or business. With Kerry making an all-but-certain run for the White House, we really need information about just who this man is.

I'm tempted to say the Swift Boat Vets have the right to be heard, but we've established elsewhere that no such right exists. But they apparently do have insights into Kerry's personality that, imho, are potentially important to the American electorate, and I think it could be argued that the mass media is derelict in not making us aware of what these people are saying.

To be honest, I don't particularly want to hear it, but it'd be foolish and irresponsible to ignore it.

I know nothing about military records. Am I correct in assuming that the extensive service documentation Kerry offers on his website fails to fulfill what the Vets are seeking?
