Well I have a whole new take on our election process. Think it's time we simply blew the minds of our politicians and all voted in pattern. Each term of the presidency we simply vote in the choice of the opposite party but at the same time we ensure that they're saddled with the opposite party in power in Congress, enough votes shy of the 2/3 majority needed to override presidential veto. That way we simply bring invoke the ultimate separation of power. By having the the Repubs and Democrats take turns at the presidency we should end up with a pretty balanced Supreme Court and new and costly legislation will be darned tough to get through Congress. Presidential appointments are going to have to be heavy on compromise with the opposing party if they have any chance at all of getting approved during a single term.

The hell with both of our major political parties. We're definitely stuck with them but it sure would be fun to play with their minds a bit. Maybe after a few decades of this the light would come on in the party leader's heads and they'd figure out that we deserve more than simple morons for candidates. Oh wait, this plan would actually require people like our room extremists to actually admit that their leaders of choice are morons. Hmm, might be a tough nut to crack.
