OK, we all know that the State Dept of every administration for some reason has been dominated by Arabists with an unholy love for the House of Saud, but what has motivated this admin to treat Syria with such preference? Even now it's just a few words. "Unilateral" sanctions are ineffective.
May I instead propose donating a couple extra MOABs left over from Iraq to Syria? Or are they being stockpiled for Iran?
