And - boy, do I ever wish I'd been a fly on the wall at the post mortem deconstruction of that commencement address!
The subtext seems obvious to me: only if they use their hard-won, expensive skills to support the status quo are they not "liars". Call me naive, or old-fashioned, but I thought only History was written by the victors, and the news was supposed to be immune.
Or is 1984 merely 20 years late in arriving?
