You're relatively new around here, so I should introduce myself formally. I'm both a participant and a moderator. When I sign my name just "Robert" I'm a participant. When I sign it something like "Robert (as moderator)", or use my full name, I'm acting in an official capacity, and you should take notice.

You should know by now that your post will enrage a lot of people, and not just of the right-wing persuasion. I assume you're deliberately trying to stir up trouble. You'll get it. Understand that there are limits to your participation here, and in particular you don't have carte blanche to incite virtual riots. This community has been around for a long time, and as much and as strongly as we argue, we remain a community with standards of behavior and a modicum of mutual respect. Learn to participate as a member of the community, respecting its standards and conventions, or move on.

To the people who will react, some cautions. I've had to respond a few times lately to people losing control and violating the rules and customs of the Zone. Profanity in subject lines and outright flaming on boards other than the official Flame board are the common manifestations of passions running exceptionally high. That's understandable, since events in the outside world have been rather ugly recently. I would just ask that you use the boards appropriately to express yourselves. Try to keep in control here on Current Events, stay as calm as you can, and don't get suckered by trolls; you'll make your case better keeping your wits about you. Feel free to use the Flame board to express strong emotion. That's what it's there for.

Let the games begin...within the boundaries.
