You see, I was against this war to begin with. So was the world. If Bush had stayed the course for Al Queda in Afganistan, we would now have the co-operation of many countries around the world to dig them out and eliminate them one by one. Bush wouldn't have said (in his best Texas drawl) "Bring 'em on!" and we wouldn't have this Holy War going on over there, this quamire of hatred and revenge which is spiraling out of control over there.
We had access to Saddam's country. The UN inspections and sanctions kept him in check. I have yet to see you even feel the slightest hesitation that this war was wrong. There have been SO many major investigations into this administration and so many scandals I can hardly count them anymore.
>"But why do you ignore the dozens of other posts quoting military personnel over in Iraq who tell a completely different story? "
Maybe they're not the ones ordered to shoot the "enemy", maybe they're just the grunts. There are those who think up the war, those that plan them, those that move the armies, those that give the orders and those who carry them out. It's obvious this marine was sick of doing the dirty work, killing civilians in their own country, on their own streets, in their own vehicles for NOTHING.
Got it? For nothing.
And don't be fooled Tom, it's NOT for democracy.
