If he scares conservatives, it is in the same sense that one would be concerned about a liar running through a small town screaming that the black guy who lives alone in the old house on Main Street has been raping the women of the town, or that a train had derailed and was spilling poison gas.
The man does real damage with his lies. He is a hypocrite, and seems to be actually proud of it. His shamelessness with his own behavior makes Bill Clinton look like a model of personal integrity.
