I'm trying to figure out why the alternative to having troops in Saudi Arabia would be abandoning Israel and Kuwait. Abandoning democracy in the mid-east, nuclear war with Saddam...

I came to the (misguided?) conclusion that you were saying that Arabs must be suppressed in order to save Israel. That friendship with Arabs was impossible. Heck I don't know!
