Try putting the switch in a secure cabinet or locking panel of some sort.

Use two switches. Put another switch in some place hidden, but slightly obvious. That's the one they'll find, but it's not the only one. I suppose that's somewhat cruel, but hey.

Although it reminds me of the old joke about the exasperated watermelon farmer who erected the sign: "Don't steal my melons, one of them is poisoned! And only I know which one."

The next morning, to his dismay, written in marker on his sign was the following: "Now two of these watermelons are poisoned, and only we know where the second one is."
