"A Justice Department memo proposes that the United States hold others accountable for international laws on detainees—but that Washington did not have to follow them itself."
And the courts-martial of enlisted personnel, hoping to deflect responsibility from those who refuted the Geneva Convention and other human rights conventions, is a travesty.
Clearly, it started at the very top. And they put a prison in Guantanamo so as to be able to torture, they house people in third-world countries so as to be able to torture, and they bother to train guards in the Geneva Convention because it wasn't applicable.
What a mess. Imagine, America doing all this. Not France, not Germany, good ol' America.
Kinda breaks your heart. My heart.
Arf
Boy, howdy. More evidence the torture started at the top.
