That a big black bear was found in a tree in the courtyard of our local elementaty school last week? And that the sheriff's dept. was called and a tranquilizer gun came with them?

Guess there were no gringos around with shotguns.........
As for this mountain lion, I guess we don;t know the circumstances.
Someone should have kept a bead on it and had someone call the authorities. I mean, was the lion up in a tree lounging? Was he snarling? How populated was the area?

Anyway, I can see why someone WOULD shoot it, and I also feel some sadness that such a magnificent creature couldn't have been removed and put back out in the wilds.
Has anyone considered that maybe someone's PET wandered off?
