re: I dunno. How do you feel about Zell Miller?

"I had to google the guy to find out what you were talking about. Sen. Miller is welcome to his opinion, but I can't figure out why you would support Bush and be a Democrat at the same time. Bush is pretty opposite to the whole platform, no?"

Well, Kerry supports various Bush policies, then decides he's against them, then changes his mind again, etc. So, what wrong with simply being for Bush's policies without the flip flopping. Besides, Miller could decide not support Bush, if the Democrats didn't run on "We hate Bush" and "End the war in Iraq". Bush is, of course, a moderate. Now, perhaps because he is a Christan or the fact that we were attacked on 911- therefore Bush had to change in response to this threat [and thereby become Hilter to the foaming Left] it's hard for some people to see through their rage that Bush is in fact a moderate.

"Quite easy for me to see why you might be a Republican and favor campaign reform, though. "

All politicans dislike the condition of needed to raise huge amounts of money in order to have a reasonable chance of being elected. The question is, can we pass laws which will change this, or is it simply "a fact of life" that requires more fundemental changes in our culture rather than the passing of laws- for instance, the internet might offer the possiblity of changing this to some degree.
