"Bush is, of course, a moderate."

Riiiiiiight Geoff, and where do you get THAT from??

Bush is radical, as are most of his policies.
If he hadn't been so damn radical, maybe he'd have more allies left, and not be suffering from the disdain of his countrymen or his own political party. And please don't bring "And he's a Christian too" into this. Having fallen off the wagon several times, his 12 step program led him to God. Frankly, I think he can't see the forest for the trees.

Born-again Christians are pretty radical. Especially when asked if he followed fatherly advice and he remarked "I answer to a Higher power".
Then he prays before he leads this country into a pre-emptive war based on a wing and a prayer (and some pretty faulty intelligence),
and asks for forgiveness.

Pretty freaky stuff. I say you could use personal prayer for personal issues, but using prayer to confirm you are right while pulling half the world into war with him, is as radical as it gets!

And he gets it from his father. I saw George Sr. being interviewed on TV last night and watched him pussyfoot around his son's decisions.
When asked about the torture at Abu Gahrib, he denounced it and in the same breath, added "Well so was Nick Berg's beheading". I got the impression he felt righteous that we're smacking those damn heathens down over there come what may. It didn't matter that Berg was murdered in DEFIANCE of the tortures at Abu Garib.

No wonder the Bush family supports Sharon and his hard handed tactics. They run together like a rabid packs of dogs.
