You always new where Ronald Reagan stood on the issues. The man had his principles and unlike most politicians never swayed from them. He was a rock. The last great Cold Warrior. To paraphrase a quote of his: Yes, he appealed to our best hopes and not out worst fears. He was always the optimist. Always said America's best days where ahead of her.

I'm actually tearing up as I write this. A great American has left us.
