I was wondering on the same lines. The view that shows the whole sun might show a rather small Venus through the telescope lenses too. The large crescent Venus photo of Bruno wouldn't show much of the Sun, but it might look striking near the limb of the Sun.
With photoshop type software there's sure to be some interesting images.
Solar safe binoculars would be great.
