Maybe you hadn't noticed...

I'm trying to think of what the American reaction would be if there were a prison in Iraq where Americans were treated as the Iraqis have been.

Hello? Do you remember how our prisoners have been treated by the Iraqi military and insurgents since the war began?

In fact, allow me to remind you that since WWII, we have not been in one goddam war where our enemies have treated American prisoners with anything within light years of the Geneva protocols. Not ONE.

For the past sixty years, our prisoners have been consistently killed, tortured, starved, and held beyond the end of wars. Hell, this disregard goes back farther than WWII if you think of the Japanese and others.

As for Iraqi opinions, go to their blogs and webpages and find out for yourself. You might be surprised.
