Because 9/11 was a terrorist attack.
The whole purpose of going after Iraq was to stop Saddam from causing another 9/11. It was to stop him before he could mount such an attack or, help other terrorist perform attacks.
Before we freed Iraq from Saddam’s murderous hands;
We knew Saddam had WMD (We are finding more and more evidence)
We knew he used WMD (Plenty of dead Kurds and Iranians that found out)
We knew Al Qaeda caused 9/11. (bin Laden has admitted as much)
We had intelligence that Al Qaeda and Iraq had contacted each other (Which new evidence is proving was true).
Iraq was going to be a threat to the Free World, we just stopped them before they could.
