As the schedule Tom posted shows, left-wing biased outlets like NPR get a lot more airtime on Armed Forces Network than right-wing commentators like Rush and Dr. Laura. Rush gets 54 minutes a day and Laura gets 42 minutes, for a total of 480 minutes a week. NPR gets 2 hours (0300-0500) for their Morning Edition, another two hours (1400-1600) for All Things Considered, plus more hours on the weekends (0500-0700) for Weekend Edition and 1400-1500 for All Things Considered on both Saturday and Sunday. Looks like NPR gets about 1560 minutes of airtime a week (not counting the politically neutral Car Talk at 0005 on Wednesday mornings). Sounds like a pretty strong left-wing tilt to me.
There are many short segments during the daily schedule, with Paul Harvey getting quite a few of them. While Dr. Dobson gets several 90 second segments, those appear to be balanced by Charles Osgood and Dan Rather. Sounds like there's a closer balance during these short segments.
When I was stationed in Germany (1978-80), we had exactly one English language radio station and one TV station, both operated by the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS, pronounced A-farts). Have you ever wondered what happens to a TV show that got cancelled after a few episodes? Well, in my day, they often ended up on AFRTS. As for the radio programming, it looks a lot more diverse today than it was then. When I worked night shifts, the best programming was when they broadcast the old radio serials from the 1930s like Gunsmoke and The Shadow. Some of those programs were very entertaining. Baseball games were bad because they dragged on for so long. Mid shifts were bad enough without having to listen to a baseball game.

But I guess you're ok with the left-wing indoctrination, right?
