Bush has a puppet government there, all he wants. As far as "democracy" is concerned, he's abandoned them. The countryside is controlled by the same old warlords. Opium growing is back (funny how the conservatives said the Taliban was growing it to finance terrorism, when they pretty well stomped it out), there are no rights for the women to whom GWB promised them, etc.

A few token projects, period. Sort of like promising a heart replacement, and delivering a very nicely corrected ingrown toenail repair, and a manicure.

But watch 'em point with proper pride to the toenail repair.

Nope, all GWB wanted was control. Then, obviously, the hell with 'em.

Same with Iraq. "Sovereign" and "democracy" are just buzzwords, empty, pap for the masses.

Don't look at what they say, look at what they do.
