To put it briefly, between 1999 and 2001, Iraq WAS working on getting uranium from Niger. One assumes it wasn't to make pottery glazes with.
At the time the Left was dragging the Bush administration across the coals on this issue, I pointed out that British intelligence was standing by its story and had stated that the scam documents had not been their primary source. They never went into any details.
