There are already plenty of continuous records of temperature.
(The Mauna Loa record is definative, for example.) Adding a bunch of inaccurate, amature assertions of trends to the mix would be counter-productive.
Anyway, I don't think that conservatives dispute that there is a warming trend. What they dispute is that there is proof that the trend is caused by man.
