US will override Baghdad in war on terrorism
Military strikes may continue, warns general
Rory McCarthy in Baghdad Thursday July 1, 2004
The Guardian
"American commanders will risk launching high-profile military actions at targets in Iraq even if they go directly against the wishes of the new Iraqi government, a senior US general said yesterday."
How's that for "sovereign"? An army running around the country attacking anything at will it says is "terrorist".
Could be anything, a political party, wedding, newspaper. Just so someone says it's terrorist.
Now, does anyone believe the occupation is over? And that Iraq is "sovereign"?
