Moon base

Buck Galaxy — 7/6/2004 2:36:05 AM (archived)

I doubt very much we would just build a base the first place we land. The South Pole of the Moon will be heavily explored by both robots and astronauts before the site for a permanent base is decided on. I'm sure they will pick an excellent location. The mobile base concept is definitely great for long range exploration away from the main base.
